About The Position
The Sales Assistant supports sales operations and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The role includes replenishing and organizing merchandise, assisting with stock checks and visual tasks, and processing point-of-sale transactions. The Sales Assistant also welcomes customers, helps identify their needs, directs them to sales associates, and supports associates in resolving customer concerns. The position helps maintain an organized sales floor, fitting rooms, and cash wrap, while following sales, point-of-sale, attendance, and other company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
- Perform stock checks for customers and to support sales associates.
- Assist with merchandise floor moves and other visual tasks.
- Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Follow sales-related policies and procedures.
- Greet customers warmly and interact with them as they enter the store.
- Respond to customer questions quickly and accurately.
- Determine customer needs and direct customers to the appropriate sales associate.
- Assist sales associates with resolving client problems and complaints as needed.
- Work effectively with stock and sales associates to ensure a fast, seamless fitting-room experience.
- Provide a high level of customer service to each customer.
- Keep the sales floor and merchandise neat, organized, and stocked.
- Unpack and hang or fold merchandise, and attach security tags when needed.
- Maintain the sales floor, fitting rooms, and cash wrap; process and run go-backs.
- Adhere to the work schedule, including time and attendance requirements.
- Follow point-of-sale policies and procedures.
