About The Position

The Sales Assistant staffs community model homes and supports the Sales Consultant when they are absent. The role greets visitors, demonstrates homes and their features, and provides customers with general information about the homes, community, and surrounding area. The Sales Assistant also generates appointments from walk-in customers, Realtors, and telephone inquiries, and helps keep model homes and grounds clean and in good condition.

Requirements

• Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
• Legible handwriting.
• Punctuality and a professional appearance and manner.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on assigned work.
• Customer-service-driven approach and a friendly, enthusiastic, personable manner.
• Proficiency in Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Prior New Home Sales, Property Management, Leasing, or High-End Retail sales experience with excellent customer satisfaction preferred.
• A real estate license may be required to advance to a Sales Associate or Sales Consultant role.

Responsibilities

• Staff the model home office and answer telephone inquiries.
• Generate appointments from walk-in customers, Realtors, and telephone inquiries.
• Greet customers and demonstrate model homes, including explaining home features and benefits.
• Provide customers with general information about price ranges, specific models, options, mortgage rates, and other information as directed by the Sales Consultant.
• Provide information about the community and surrounding area.
• Inspect grounds and model homes for maintenance problems.
• Ensure model homes are clean.
• Support the Sales Consultant in their absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
