About The Position
Daikin Applied is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives, supporting product selection and application to meet specific field requirements. The role also implements strategies to position products effectively in the marketplace and collaborates with customers to demonstrate the value of the company's product lines. Depending on experience, the engineer may provide leadership and direction within the marketing applications organization. The position is hybrid in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of Sales Applications Engineering experience.
- HVAC experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing.
- Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs and assess processes to meet those needs.
- Process requests for modifications or options and provide general information not covered by published pricing.
- Stay informed about new products and competitive models in the marketplace.
- Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements.
- Prepare technical literature for internal and field application.
- Conduct product training for sales representatives and customers.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to product training processes.
- Provide leadership and direction within the marketing applications organization.
