About The Position

The Berkeley City Club is a historic hotel, event space, restaurant and bar, and social club. Originally opened in 1930 as the Berkeley Women’s City Club, our architect Julia Morgan’s unique Moorish-gothic vision comes to life through soaring arches, ornamental architecture, inviting courtyards, and a breathtaking indoor pool. We are looking for an ambitious "people person" to complete our fast-paced Events team. In this role, you will guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion. You will be the go-to person for a variety of clientele, including corporate, weddings and social, membership, and team member appreciation events as well as group hotel blocks.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, members, and team members
High attention to detail
Willingness to learn new tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
Proficient in property management systems including Clubessential and ReserveCloud
Enthusiastic and proactive work ethic
Ability to collaborate effectively both as a team or independently
Excellent organizational skills

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience in event management preferred
Hospitality and/or Club industry experience is a plus

Guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion.
