About The Position

Diversified Manufacturing is seeking a Sales and Applications Engineer to support growing sales and design efforts in developing custom heat transfer solutions. The role provides technical sales and engineering support, contributes to design and procurement specifications, and helps prepare customer-facing and internal documentation. It also supports quotation and business-development activities.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Chemical Engineering Technology.
At least 2 years of related work experience in a related industry.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals.
Proven record of generating innovative and practical ideas.
Team-oriented approach, innovative ideas, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience with heat exchangers, including shell and tube, extended surface, bar and plate, and air-cooled products.
Project management experience.
ASME Code experience.
MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical sales support to clients, including detailed layouts and cost analysis.
Support the engineering department by generating accurate designs using heat exchanger software, ASME Code software, or other methods.
Assist in developing engineering specifications for the design or procurement of subsystems, components, and engineering services.
Assist in preparing written proposals, instructions, manuals, and other documentation for customers or internal users.
Assist design engineering with the development of schematics or drawings.
Review customer design specifications and requests to assess design feasibility and applicability.
Generate cost estimates and quotations, and perform follow-up activities to facilitate new business.
