Sales Account Professional
About The Position
Mariner Finance is hiring a customer-facing, sales-oriented professional for its branch team. The role involves understanding customers’ financial needs, presenting lending solutions, managing account relationships, and contributing to branch success. The position is suited to someone who is goal-oriented, outgoing, resilient, competitive, coachable, and comfortable with outbound calls, customer conversations, and sales goals. The role offers opportunities for growth, advancement, promotions, and raises, along with company-provided leads and marketing support. Compensation includes an hourly base salary of $18.00–$20.15 plus uncapped incentive bonuses. The position is office-based and requires physical presence in the office. The stated schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday work is required seasonally and as business needs require. The company may change the schedule to address business needs, and work hours depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a sales position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Highly motivated, with an interest in the consumer finance industry.
- Ability to sustain or exceed individual sales goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to leverage and learn new sales platforms and technologies.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to obtain any essential licenses required by the state.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, communicate professionally during challenging conversations, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of outbound calling experience.
- Experience in lending, consumer loans, or collections.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to develop business, follow up on opportunities, and support account relationships.
- Support branch growth by meeting or exceeding individual and branch performance goals.
- Build relationships with current and potential customers through respectful, solution-focused communication.
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate lending options.
- Process loan applications and gather required credit, income, and financial information.
- Present loan solutions and available products clearly, confidently, and compliantly.
- Educate customers on loan terms, payment expectations, account requirements, and available services.
- Help customers resolve account concerns, make payment arrangements, and stay on track.
- Positively impact customer service, credit quality, and branch profitability.
- Process payments, maintain accurate records, support cash drawer responsibilities, and assist with daily operations.
- Learn applicable federal, state, and local consumer laws to ensure compliant actions.
- Maintain a cash drawer, including processing payments and delivering daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
- Perform additional functions as needed based on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent quality customer service.
