About The Position

We are seeking a Sales Account Executive to join our sales team in East Providence, Rhode Island. This role involves bringing innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in the local area. The ideal candidate understands the connection between marketing and sales and is excited by achieving sales goals. As a Sales Account Executive, you will be the link between Lamar and the communities we serve, meeting and exceeding sales objectives in your assigned territory through professional sales techniques to develop long-term advertising relationships. Requirements

Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in-person.
Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.

Current and Valid Driver’s License required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
CRM experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

College Degree preferred.
Previous Outdoor Advertising sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
Target businesses in the assigned area and visit each established Lamar client as well as competitor's clients in a specified time frame.
Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition.
Cluster accounts to work them efficiently.
Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects & follow up on leads, as well as prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
Develop presentation skills by utilizing computer tools, and presenting to clients on a regular basis.
Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans a month in advance.
Follow up on all client production orders and problem-solve any issues that may arise.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of clients and sales activity.
