About The Position

Oertel Metal Works is seeking a Safety & Training Manager in Davenport, Iowa. The position leads workplace safety initiatives and employee training programs across manufacturing operations. Working closely with production leadership and employees, the manager helps build a strong safety culture, develop employee skills, and promote a safe and productive workplace.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience leading safety initiatives, employee training programs, or related workplace programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and hazard prevention.
• Effective communication and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and influence employees at all levels.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
