About The Position

The Safety & Traffic Monitor helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient testing environment at Treadwell Research Park in Pearsall, Texas. The role monitors vehicle and personnel movement, enforces facility safety procedures, coordinates traffic flow, and responds to emergencies when needed. The position requires an observant, dependable, safety-focused professional who can communicate effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. The monitor works with clients and test personnel to coordinate vehicles entering and exiting designated test areas, tracks vehicle activity, and identifies and reports safety hazards and incidents. The role also helps maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors and completes required documentation and reports.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of three years of work experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and data entry.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to observe and monitor multiple activities simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively via radio, telephone, and in person.
Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid Certification.
Experience in safety monitoring, traffic control, security, emergency response, transportation, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control traffic flow throughout the test facility.
Respond to emergencies and assist with safety-related incidents as needed.
Maintain thorough knowledge of test track areas and facility operations.
Communicate with clients and test personnel about vehicles entering and exiting designated test areas.
Enforce facility safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Track vehicle movements and activity using spreadsheets and other monitoring tools.
Identify, document, and report safety hazards, incidents, and concerns.
Help maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
Complete required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
