About The Position

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a strong background in data center and electrical construction to support complex commercial construction projects. The role promotes OSHA compliance and a proactive safety culture across major regional projects, helping crews identify risks and prioritize safety. This is a local-only opportunity; no travel, per diem, or relocation is offered.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
• Active First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations.
• Hands-on experience with fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 510 certification.
• Data center or mission-critical facility construction experience.
• Electrical construction safety experience, including switchyards or substations.

Responsibilities

• Promote OSHA compliance and foster a proactive safety culture across major regional projects.
• Lead interactive daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.
• Conduct daily site inspections and equipment checks to identify hazards.
• Perform root-cause accident investigations, complete incident documentation, and implement corrective actions.
• Reinforce proper PPE use and safe work practices during high-risk activities across multiple trades.
