About The Position

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced Safety Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a strong background in data center and electrical construction to oversee site operations on active construction projects. This hands-on safety professional will lead field teams, manage high-risk activities, and work with contractors to maintain safe, compliant job sites. The position is local only; no travel, per diem, or relocation is offered.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety experience.
Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Degree in a safety-related field.
OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500.
CHST or CSP certification.
Data center or mission-critical facility construction experience.
Electrical construction safety experience, including switchyards or substations.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project requirements across active construction sites.
Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses for field teams.
Conduct site inspections, address hazards, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, document findings, and implement preventive measures.
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to maintain compliance with project requirements.
Oversee critical work activities, including electrical installations, fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
