About The Position

The Safety & Security Officer helps maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for hotel guests and staff. The role involves monitoring the property, identifying potential security risks, responding promptly to issues, implementing security procedures, and providing friendly, service-oriented interactions. The position is based at the Balfour Hotel in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, a boutique hotel with restored Art Deco design, a rooftop pool, and Mediterranean-inspired dining.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of Completion in Safety and Security Training and/or a State Security License, including applicable background checks, per state requirements.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or HIS.
• Complete AHLA Certified Lodging Security Officer certification within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a safety and security role or a related field is preferred but not required.
