About The Position

Hill Country Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HCTC) is seeking a full-time Safety & OSP Training Coordinator to join their team. The selected candidate must reside in the Hill Country area or within a 90-mile radius. HCTC is a community-focused telecommunications provider dedicated to bringing high-speed broadband and telecommunications services to underserved rural areas of the Hill Country. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of experience in safety and/or risk management.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant safety and telecommunications experience.
  • OSHA, CPR, and First Aid Certifications.
  • Must have a valid Class C Texas driver's license.
  • If relocating to Texas from another state or country, must have a valid driver's license equivalent to a Texas Class C and obtain a Texas license within 30 days.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under HCTC's standard auto insurance policy.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate's degree in a closely related field is preferred.
  • Job-related experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination of the organization's safety program by monitoring compliance and scheduling training.
  • Continuously update safety policies and procedures as instructed by the Manager and as appropriate to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees and ensures accident and incident reporting procedures are followed on time.
  • Conducts inspections of company vehicles and equipment, both on and off-premise.
  • Ensures certifications for equipment operators are maintained.
  • Assists in the development and administration of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies.
  • Assists with emergency preparedness plans for use in the event of an active shooter or natural disaster such as a tornado or fire.
