About The Position

Qualus is hiring for its Construction Management organization. The position administers and coordinates safety services and programs onsite at electric utility transmission line, distribution line, and substation projects. It develops and improves processes and communications to meet changing business needs, support legal compliance, and promote customer satisfaction through partnerships and problem solving. The role also provides safety and health services, training, and technical advice to assigned internal customer groups.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience.
• OSHA Certified.
• CSP certified.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Experience working with limited supervision.
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Utilities experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of standard electric utility safety program components.
• Analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, oral and written communication, and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze reports for safety programs and ensure compliance with legal reporting requirements.
• Research information; conduct or participate in surveys and data requests; analyze results and recommend changes.
• Apply technical knowledge, skills, and judgment to solve problems.
• Research federal and state regulatory changes and trends to maintain compliance with laws and company safety policies and procedures.
• Pursue continuous process improvement and recommend ways to align people, systems, and strategies.
• Exercise supervisory authority to stop work due to unsafe practices or conditions.
• Assist with investigating and analyzing safety incidents and injuries, and develop procedures to prevent recurrence.
• Provide safety and health services and safety training to assigned internal customer groups.
• Serve as a technical advisor to safety committees for assigned internal customer groups.
• Conduct safety awareness presentations or training for the public and other outside organizations as needed.
