This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the safety function across U.S. locations, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The Safety Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and support safety-related policies and procedures. This position drives consistent implementation of safety programs across all locations and provides leadership and direction to Safety Supervisors and team members. The role involves overseeing multi-site safety operations, including conducting site visits to assess conditions and support program implementation. The Safety Manager will lead and oversee audits, inspections, and on-site evaluations, ensuring deficiencies are identified and resolved. This position analyzes data and trends to identify risks and implement corrective and preventative actions, leads accident prevention efforts, and oversees incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. The Safety Manager will develop and oversee safety training programs, including supervisor and new hire training. This role actively participates in field operations and partners with operations leadership to ensure alignment between safety protocols and operational practices, providing real-time guidance and collaborating with teams to address risks and improve compliance. The Safety Manager will assist with the oversight of hazardous materials operations, including cargo handling, documentation, storage, transportation, and disposal. This role maintains compliance documentation and ensures audit readiness at all times, serves as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and supports compliance communications, monitors regulatory changes and recommends improvements to programs and practices, and coordinates emergency response activities and supports incident management as needed. The Safety Manager prepares and presents safety performance reports and metrics to leadership. Additional duties may be assigned.
