About The Position
Holder Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join its Safety team on projects in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a full-time, in-person position. The Safety Coordinator executes the project safety program within assigned areas, supports trade partners, and ensures compliance with Holder standards and regulatory requirements. The role represents a transition from learning to ownership of defined safety scopes.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- Working knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Ability to communicate and reinforce expectations with field personnel.
- Substance abuse testing and a background screening are conditions of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience in construction, safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Progress toward BCSP certification (ASP, CHST, or equivalent) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Execute Holder’s safety program for assigned trades or work areas.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings.
- Lead safety planning and coordination for high-risk activities in partnership with operations.
- Support incident, near-miss, and first-aid investigations using root cause analysis.
- Review and support development of JHAs and high-risk activity plans.
- Deliver safety orientations and training to subcontractors and field personnel.
- Reinforce expectations and proactively address safety concerns in the field.
