About The Position
Progressive Safety is seeking an experienced Safety Consultant to support a high-profile construction project in De Soto, Kansas. This is a full-time, onsite position at a single location. The role focuses on hazard identification and protecting workers on a large-scale job site. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with hours depending on project needs. Overtime is available. No per diem is offered.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of construction safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving job site.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Nice To Haves
- Mega-project experience, such as data center, manufacturing, or electric vehicle projects.
- OSHA 510 construction certification.
Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce safety policies to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct safety training and toolbox talks to ensure workers understand best practices.
- Perform job hazard analyses and risk assessments.
- Analyze incidents and near-misses and develop corrective action plans.
- Ensure the site complies with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
- Work with site management and contractors to maintain a safe job site.
