About The Position
The Safety Coordinator works closely with the HR Manager to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of experience in occupational safety, safety training, risk management, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new hire safety orientation and ongoing refresher training, including both classroom and hands-on instruction including the safe operation of company equipment
- Investigate all workplace accidents and injuries.
- Administer workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain OSHA injury and illness records and prepare required regulatory reports in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Oversee the drive cam program by reviewing events and monitoring trends to improve driver performance.
- Conduct periodic workplace safety inspections.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Maintain training records, certifications, safety documentation, and regulatory files.
- Coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and company safety initiatives.
