Safety Coordinator
About The Position
Bowman Steel is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure a safe and compliant work environment across different states. This role involves monitoring construction sites, commercial buildings, and skilled trade environments to identify and eliminate hazards, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards, fall protection protocols, and PPE requirements. The Safety Coordinator will also implement Environmental Health and Safety Plans (EHSP), train workers on best practices, develop and enforce safety policies to reduce workplace accidents, and maintain company-provided safety equipment, phone, laptop, and company vehicle.
Requirements
- 1-2 years in a safety role, preferably in structural steel construction.
- OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 required
- Strong knowledge of fall protection and PPE requirements
- Experience working from heights
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Must be open to travel within job site locations
