This position works with other school personnel to assist students in developing techniques to regulate and manage emotions, encourage positive student behavior, and promote safety within the school. The role involves ongoing review of the physical security of the assigned school location and assisting building administrators with continuous campus monitoring. The Safety & Support Monitor will supervise students during transitions, alert administrators to safety and security concerns, and work cooperatively to promote positive student behavior. This includes assisting students in examining misbehavior and developing strategies to prevent reoccurrences. The role also involves coordinating, providing, and supervising instructional and behavioral activities for assigned students, attending training workshops, and maintaining confidentiality of all school information. The position requires attending faculty and other required meetings, demonstrating positive working relationships, and performing other assigned duties.
