The Safety & Support Monitor - Elementary (SSM) position is responsible for assisting students in developing emotional regulation and management techniques, encouraging positive behavior, and promoting safety within the school environment. This role involves continuous monitoring of the school's physical security and campus, supervising students during transitions, and alerting administrators to any safety or security concerns. The SSM will also work cooperatively with administrators to foster positive student behavior, help students examine misbehavior and develop preventative strategies, and coordinate instructional and behavioral activities for assigned students. The position requires attending training workshops, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in faculty and other required meetings. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating positive working relationships with students, administration, staff, and community stakeholders, while also performing other assigned duties.
