The Campus Safety Monitor (CSM) is a non-exempt, hourly position within the Leadership Services/School Division, reporting to the Principal and District Safety & Security Director. The CSM is responsible for maintaining the physical security of the assigned school location through ongoing review and continuous indoor and outdoor monitoring of the campus. Key duties include assisting building administrators with campus supervision, monitoring students during transitions in hallways and restrooms, and ensuring the security of exterior school doors. The CSM is also tasked with conducting security vulnerability assessments, alerting administrators to safety concerns, and assisting with car and bus traffic management. The role requires participation in training workshops and faculty meetings, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering positive working relationships with students, staff, and community stakeholders.
