About The Position

GPHA, Inc. is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, dedicated to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. As one of the largest Dental providers in the Philadelphia and Tri-state area, GPHA is seeking Safety and Security Officers for Saturdays only within its Dental Division. The organization is looking for individuals eager to grow and develop with the division.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED).
• At least three years' experience as a security officer or certification from a security officer training program.
• Knowledgeable of Safety and Security requirements.
• Ability to continue learning.
• Must be able to deal with people effectively and professionally.
• Ability to deal with disruptive patients or visitors peacefully by applying de-escalation skills.
• Ability to anticipate a problem/situation and use preventive intervention effectively.
• CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security requirements are met.
• Deal with people effectively and professionally.
• Handle disruptive patients or visitors peacefully by applying de-escalation skills.
• Assist with maintenance and custodial services and health center operations.
• Anticipate problems/situations and use preventive intervention effectively.
