About The Position

The Internal Audit & Safety Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s Internal Audit Program, Mystery Shop Program, safety initiatives and awareness campaigns, and compliance programs to promote operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and a safe work environment. This position conducts audits, assessments, investigations, and safety reviews, identifies risks and areas of non-compliance, monitors corrective actions, analyzes trends, and provides guidance and recommendations to leadership to strengthen internal controls, reduce risk, improve safety practices, and support continuous organizational improvement. Conducts investigations and provide administrative support to the Asset Protection, Safety and Compliance team. Guide the organization on existing and new regulatory requirements as well as ensure continued compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Advise on emerging risks to the organization. Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of GIOC’s Asset Protection and Safety programs. Support the Asset Protection and Safety department with projects and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience/education combined.
  • Three to five years’ experience in workers’ compensation and liability claims administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient PC skills with proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective analytical skills required to determine appropriate approach to claim resolution.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.
  • Required to participate in DMV Pull Program.
