About The Position

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for enterprise cellular networks in the U.S., specializing in the design, installation and support of Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks for Enterprise. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety and Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This critical role supports a growing wireless network provider serving significant carriers nationwide. The Safety and Human Resources Administrator will work closely with the Safety Manager three days a week and the HR Director two days a week, ensuring seamless integration of Safety and HR initiatives. This is a full-time, onsite position in our corporate office in Marlborough, MA. We seek a flexible and motivated team player with strong organizational skills, demonstrated computer skills, a collaborative mindset, a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in safety administration, HR support, or a related role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to create, modify, and analyze Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, formulas, compliance reports, dashboards, and large data sets used for safety, fleet, training, and HR reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and familiar with database systems.
  • General knowledge of OSHA and DOT/FMCSA standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze safety performance metrics, training compliance data, driver performance trends, and audit findings using Excel-based reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in the wireless network or telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage training programs and effectively track compliance.
  • Familiar with safety and HR regulations related to fleet management and driver safety.
  • Knowledge of or use tools such as SambaSafety, Samsara, and vehicle telematics system, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to develop and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and DOT/FMCSA standards.
  • Register new hires in pre-approved safety and driver training programs, ensuring timely onboarding.
  • Track and maintain employee training completion, certifications, and compliance records to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintain and administer safety training records, certifications, OSHA credentials, DOT/FMCSA compliance documentation, and contractor safety qualification records.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of documentation required for Avetta, ISNetworld, Highwire, client audits, insurance reviews, and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist in maintaining Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety meeting records, toolbox talks, and other field compliance documentation.
  • Support incident reporting, corrective action tracking, root cause investigations, and claims management documentation.
  • Assist with driver qualification file administration, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviews, and fleet safety compliance tracking.
  • Use tools such as SambaSafety and Samsara to monitor driver performance and ensure vehicle safety through telematics systems.
  • Assist in investigating safety incidents, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support Safety Committees by managing agendas, minutes, calendars, and initiatives.
  • Partner with the HR Director and team to onboard newly hired employees.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting for both HR and Safety-related initiatives.
  • Assist with benefit, performance review, and HRIS administration and reporting.
  • Responding to employee requests and inquiries.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed or required.
  • Schedule and track mandatory safety and driver training programs for both new hires and existing employees.
  • Proactively ensure timely renewal of certifications and licenses to avoid compliance gaps.
  • Maintain a training calendar and regularly update department heads on training status and compliance metrics.
  • Identify, prioritize, and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and implement new systems and processes to improve the efficiency of training and certification tracking.
  • Act as a liaison between safety and HR departments to ensure clear communication and alignment of initiatives.
