Requirements

  • 5 years of job-related experience
  • Ability to work under critical timelines, re-evaluate priorities and interact in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex data
  • Experience in delivering training at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Nice To Haves

  • AS in Business or Applied Science
  • Experience in a production and heavy machining facility
  • Certifications include: OSHA Blue Card certification, CSA or CSP. Certifications in HAZWOPER, First Aid, CPR and/or First Responder desirable
  • OHSAS 18001 certified auditor

Responsibilities

  • Ensure annual OSHA compliance, including reporting, contractor compliance, plan documentation, training, and safety records
  • Compile and submit Federal and State reporting, including OSHA 300 Log
  • Maintain safety and training records to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 standards
  • Analyze and interpret regulatory and scientific documents (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR) for implementation and communication
  • Participate in government inspections from OSHA and other regulatory agencies
  • Investigate near misses and work-related injuries, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions using PDCA methodology
  • Perform hazard analysis and abatement reviews to reduce workplace risk
  • Conduct exposure and investigational studies using statistical and sampling methodologies
  • Recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve safety performance
  • Facilitate safety programs and activities across the organization
  • Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including assessments, supply availability, and vendor coordination
  • Oversee Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management
  • Ensure new equipment installations meet Inherently Safe Equipment (ISE) requirements
  • Provide safety communications through postings, meetings, and safety alerts
  • Support new hire orientation for safety-related topics
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization
  • Support and comply with Company Corporate Principles and policies
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned
