About The Position

Performance Contracting Inc. is currently seeking a Safety Administrator for its PCI Indianapolis, IN 551 operations based in Carmel, IN. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Safety department with data entry, file system maintenance, meeting coordination, calendar management, and other administrative tasks. They will also assist with the implementation of the Safety department’s systems and policies, manage the Incidents Log, support the Safety Manager with subcontractor qualifications, upload weekly Project Status Reports, become proficient in internal information management systems, support Safety Professionals in managing Job Hazard Analysis reports, track and submit Safety Professional hours, assist with safety training and tracking, collect and enter jobsite documentation, assist with planning safety department events, and coordinate travel arrangements for the safety department. This position is safety-sensitive and not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years relevant experience, preferably in construction safety.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must be Bilingual
  • Candidates must show careful attention to detail, have exceptional communication skills, be able to self-direct, and capable of prioritizing a varied workload.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Must have a great attitude and be team oriented.
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Manager, Corporate Safety and other Regional Safety Managers to provide leadership and direction on all Safety matters to assigned operations, branches and departments, including measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the safety program and making and recommending modifications as needed to achieve established safety goals and objectives.
  • Serve as consultant to assigned regions and branches to establish plans to improve overall health and safety of each branch.
  • Support the Safety department with data entry, file system maintenance, meeting coordination, calendar management, and other administrative tasks.
  • Understand and assist with the implementation of the Safety department’s systems and policies.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with Safety department team members, all levels of management and staff, as well as outside clients and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanor.
  • Update and maintain the Incidents Log, managing all incident documents and submittals to the customer.
  • Support the Safety Manager with managing the safety portion of subcontractor qualifications.
  • Upload weekly Project Status Report (PSR), and other documents as assigned.
  • Ability to become proficient in internal information management systems such as STOP, AwardCo, SmartTagIt, Procore, Box, Etc.
  • Support the Safety Professionals in managing Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) reports.
  • Track and submit the Safety Professional’s hours.
  • Assist with safety training and tracking.
  • Collection and data entry of jobsite documentation from work areas generated by the crews.
  • Assist with planning safety department events.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for safety department.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
