About The Position
As a SACC Counselor, you'll supervise and engage children in our before/after school programs, planning fun and creative activities while keeping every child safe, supported, and excited to be there.
Requirements
- Minimum age 18; high school diploma or GED
- Red Cross CPR/AED, First Aid & Emergency Oxygen certification (Y provides training)
- At least 1 year of experience in a youth program setting or related education
- A team player with excellent people skills and a reliable, punctual work history
Responsibilities
- Actively supervise and engage with children, responding to their needs with warmth and positivity
- Plan and lead daily activities, lesson plans, and events that promote fun, skill-building, and belonging
- Assist students with homework and prepare nutritional snacks
- Build strong, positive relationships with families and your SACC team
- Follow all safety, emergency, and Child Abuse Prevention protocols
- Model the Y's core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility
