About The Position

This position is a key role within the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) Commissioner’s Office, responsible for leading the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) projects. These projects include expanding LNA training and increasing nursing home capacity for ventilator and dialysis services, as part of Vermont’s broader RHT Plan. The role involves extensive engagement with nursing homes and partners, managing complex projects from inception to completion, overseeing monitoring and evaluation, collaborating across agencies, supervising a grants manager, and contributing to systemic improvements in long-term care. The position reports directly to the DAIL Deputy Commissioner and is crucial for advancing strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years or more of experience where the primary role was project management.
  • Associate's degree AND six (6) years or more of experience where the primary role was project management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent AND eight (8) years or more of experience where the primary role was project management.
