About The Position

Runners deliver ordered food and drinks to guests, helping create excellent service and ensuring orders are delivered correctly and promptly so guests have what they need to enjoy their film and meal. The role requires enthusiasm, attention to detail, and hospitality while working in a theater environment. The Runner reports to the General Manager and has no supervisory responsibility. This is a seasonal, non-exempt position in the Operations department.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old, subject to state guidelines.
• ServSafe, Food Handling, and Alcohol training certifications are required.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, guests, and management.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to handle difficult or stressful situations positively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Integrity and reliability.
• Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of food running or bussing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concessions, kitchen, and bar items to guests, including utensils, sauces, and napkins, following In Seat Dining procedures and Cinépolis service standards.
• Coordinate with the expediter to deliver food simultaneously, in high quality, and promptly.
• Check that orders are correct and complete, and communicate issues to the kitchen, expediter, or supervisors.
• Guide guests through the menu and suggest promotions, add-ons, or additional items using knowledge of the menu and Cinépolis offerings.
• Clean auditoriums by removing dishes and trash, and provide managers with any found items.
• Assist team members as needed, including scanning guest tickets, cleaning, conducting restroom checks, and ringing up guests at concessions or the box office.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests or direct guests to the appropriate resource.
• Notify management about issues with movie projections.
• Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures and other assigned duties.
• Acknowledge guests according to Cinépolis standards.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings.
