Community Housing Partners is seeking candidates for a highly motivated Solar Savings Specialist (SSS). Ideal candidates must have a strong work ethic and dedication to serving underserved populations through assisting in the coordination, implementation, and management of CHP’s Solar Savings program. Who We Are: Building on a long-standing tradition of environmental, economic, and social responsibility, CHP is a nonprofit that has been working with private and public partners since 1975 to develop and preserve award-winning homes and neighborhoods. Together with our partners, we revitalize communities, foster stability for our residents, and promote a healthier planet for future generations. Our over 350 employees deliver a wide range of services, including real estate development, construction, energy services and training, asset management, property management, reality, homeownership, and comprehensive resident services. We champion housing stability, and our work within our communities reflects our core values of resilience, impact, stewardship, and equity. What We're Looking For: The Solar Savings Specialist (SSS) works closely with residents to build relationships and increase participation in the program by educating households about the benefits of shared solar and facilitating enrollments. This work includes coordinating outreach activities at CHP properties, managing program data and budgets, scheduling on-site engagement, and communicating program updates with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a collaborative and service-oriented approach, working closely with Resident Services colleagues, CHP staff, supervisors, and leadership to ensure program success while supporting the broader mission of CHP and the Resident Services department. A Day in the Life of: A typical day for a Resident Services Solar Savings Specialist blends community engagement, program coordination, and data management. The day may begin by reviewing enrollment progress, responding to resident inquiries, and updating program data or reports. Much of the role is spent connecting directly with residents—hosting outreach events, visiting CHP properties, or canvassing to educate households about the Solar Savings program and help them sign up for shared solar utility savings. Throughout the day, the specialist collaborates with on-site staff, the Resident Services team, and partners such as Dimension Energy to coordinate activities, track participation, and communicate program updates. Time is also dedicated to scheduling future outreach efforts, monitoring enrollment goals, and ensuring program documentation and budget requirements stay on track. Because the position is hybrid and travel-focused, many days include time on the road visiting properties and building relationships with residents to expand access to clean energy savings.
