About The Position

The Cost Savings Analyst will track and monitor APIs savings commitments utilizing market research reports and API intelligence to present suitable options for meeting saving commitments. This role involves interpreting data, analyzing invoices and prior airline/railway/cruise line spend to produce COA (Total Cost of Accommodations) to establish a baseline spend. The analyst will maintain Savings Matrices for assigned partners, tracking selected hotels against the baseline spend, and analyze airline spend to suggest savings options using market reports, trends, and API intelligence. The position also supports moving ideas through the client evaluation process, delivers market landscape research, flight pattern analysis, and contract term improvements, and identifies/interprets trends in complex data sets. Additionally, the role involves implementing improvements to the savings matrix process and may be assigned other duties by the Manager of Savings Performance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support moving ideas/opportunities through client evaluation process.
  • Deliver focused market landscape research, flight pattern analysis and contract term improvements for defined opportunities.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Implement improvements to the savings matrix process to best serve our clients.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned to the Manager of Savings Performance when needed, based on the client’s or API’s needs.
