About The Position

Responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing Repair Station quality policies and procedures. Manage specific sections of the department and implements plans and instructions to support departmental policies. Ensure the Repair Station is in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and manufacturers recommendations. Manage planning and development of quality standards, methods and procedures used by the Repair Station in complying with all applicable regulatory requirements, and ensure effective utilization of labor and materials. Maintain working relationships with local regulatory authorities, OEMs and vendors to ensure the Repair Stations continued growth and successful daily operation. Establish procedures for completing, maintaining and filing all inspection forms and documents used by the Repair Station. Establish training programs to continually upgrade employees technical capabilities and knowledge of governing procedures, regulations and requirements. Promote and foster departmental goals and objectives. Explain and reinforce the company values and goals to employees with an emphasis on safety. Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner. Assign tasks to subordinate employees to meet company and customer needs; hire qualified personnel as the need arises. Prepare departmental budgets and establish procedures and controls to ensure that expenditures are within the company guidelines. Coordinates projects and activities between Gulfstream facilities.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAA FAR Part 145 and associated guidance materials.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAR Part 43, Part 91, Part 121, and Part 135, as applicable to Repair Station operations.
  • Extensive understanding of FAA regulatory documentation requirements, including FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars (ACs), FAA Form 337, FAA Form 8130-3, FAA Form 8110, Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), and other applicable FAA documentation and regulatory records.
  • Advanced knowledge of Aircraft inspection and certification processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Various aircraft systems and configurations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Advanced knowledge of Technical reference manuals and engineering documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality management policies, procedures, and related technical data.
  • Proficiency in utilizing corporate software applications and business systems to support quality, inspection, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in aviation sciences, quality systems or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 6 years technical experience within Part 25 aircraft, working with a highly regulated quality assurance system is required.
  • 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • An Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of FAR Part 145 and associated guidance materials, Part 43, Part 91, Part 121 and Part 135 as these parts apply to work accomplished under the Repair Station Certification.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of interpretations, applications, and procedures for completing FAA paperwork including FARs, FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars, Form 337, Form 8130-3, Form 8110, STCs, and other pertinent paperwork.
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection and certification processes, a general working knowledge of the various aircraft, and familiarity with pertinent FARs and technical reference materials.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality policies, procedures and all related technical data.
  • Ability to work within the various software applications utilized throughout the corporation.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • An A&P license and four (4) years of related quality experience (in addition to the experience requirements below) may offset the Bachelors degree.
