About The Position

Walden Security is seeking Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to protect clients’ industrial and commercial properties against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry while helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for clients, personnel, and visitors. Client properties include office buildings, residential properties, distilleries, financial institutions, telecommunications and manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and other sites. Entry-level officers can receive training, including assistance obtaining and maintaining a security license in Tennessee. Applicants must submit a resume to be considered. The position requires an active driver’s license, a minimum age of 25, and a clean motor vehicle record. The advertised pay rate is $17–$21 USD.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum age of 25.
Active driver’s license.
Clean or relatively clear motor vehicle record.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Observe and report suspicious activities, incidents, and safety hazards.
Enforce company policies and procedures, including access control and visitor management.
Assist and provide directions to staff and visitors.
Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical situations, fire alarms, and security breaches.
Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and interactions with law enforcement or emergency services.
Inspect premises regularly to identify and address potential security risks.
