  • Proficient in all levels of Distribution center activities and job functions

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, analyzing and prioritizing all shipping points
  • Printing all deliveries and maintaining an even work flow
  • Creating groups for Rapid Ship Program (RSP) shipments
  • Creating Wave Pick tickets for multiple deliveries
  • Serving as the key contact between Sales, Customer Service, Order Management and Distribution Center
  • Interacting with end customer and Traffic Departments
  • Online routing for various Key Account customers and adhering to their specific requirements and ship windows
  • Interacting with on site ‘Will Call’ customers
  • Scheduling LTL shipments and interacting directly with the carriers drivers
  • Post good issuing all orders as related to company policies
  • Processing back orders, reprinting orders, looking up material on hand, looking up delivery status, looking up deliveries by order number, tracking deliveries on shipping floor, changing ship via code, looking up manifest data, along with all other associated SAP functions
  • Manifesting and troubleshooting deliveries through World Link
  • Executing, reviewing and maintaining open order report on a daily basis
  • Communicating daily with Supervisors on open issues
  • Ensuring all customer routing guides are up to date and current
  • Expediting critical shipments as required
  • Communicating changes in shipping procedures including routing guide changes
  • Providing information and support to the sales department and coordinating daily rush priorities
  • Identifying, initiating and implementing continual process improvement activities designed to optimize process efficiency and reduce cost
  • Occasionally covering duties of others within the department in special circumstances (holidays, vacation schedules, PTO, special projects)
