About The Position

The Route Sales Support Driver builds positive customer relationships while delivering products and services to clients along a designated route. The role combines safe vehicle operation and timely, accurate deliveries with customer service, sales growth, prospecting, and account support. The driver works independently, represents Vestis professionally, and helps generate customer goodwill and loyalty. The position involves a fast-paced environment, irregular and long hours, and exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience involving frequent customer contact.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify and resolve customer concerns.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to routinely lift and maneuver at least 25 pounds and load and unload products from a truck without assistance.
• Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, squat, climb, and reach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company step van in a designated area to provide products and services to clients.
• Verify daily preventative vehicle maintenance and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Independently manage the daily route to ensure accurate and timely product delivery.
• Load and unload products according to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for completeness and accuracy and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads and prospects, contact prospective customers, solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization in obtaining additional new business.
• Understand and clearly explain services, policies, and pricing methods to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and promptly and courteously handle customer issues.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others, use safe precautions and proper tools and equipment, and follow safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the role.
