About The Position

Borden Dairy is seeking a safety-conscious and reliable Route Sales Representative for school routes. The role involves delivering and restocking products at school locations, driving an established route, and maintaining accurate delivery and vehicle records. The representative is also expected to provide courteous customer service, work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors, and follow company policies and management direction.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to read and write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
Must be able to operate a manual-transmission commercial vehicle; automatic-transmission restrictions are not accepted.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
Must be able to routinely lift over 60 pounds and push or pull up to 300 pounds with a hand-held hook.
Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, indoors and outdoors, and on refrigerated trucks.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of verifiable experience driving a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle.
Experience in product delivery and customer service.

Responsibilities

Safely load, unload, and deliver products at each account.
Drive a truck over an established route to deliver, stock, and stage products at customer locations.
Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays and deliver promotional materials to customers.
Verify shipment accuracy and that products are in salable condition.
Resolve discrepancies and customer complaints.
Collect empty containers, rejected products, and unsold merchandise for return.
Complete daily inventory, orders, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery as required.
Perform truck motor vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy, and assist with routine truck maintenance.
Maintain vehicle and hours-of-service logs as required by DOT.
Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
Be courteous toward customers, cooperate with co-workers and supervisors, maintain a neat appearance, and follow established policies and management direction.
