About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Sales Professional to merchandise and sell bakery products on an assigned company route. The role focuses on keeping products fresh and properly stocked, growing sales and shelf space, developing customer relationships, executing promotions, and maintaining accurate route inventory and settlement records. The associate also safely drives a company route truck and completes required Department of Transportation (DOT) logs and other paperwork.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must successfully obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Ability to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as frequently reach and use fingers.
Consistent with U.S. DOT regulations, must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products, and ensure proper rotation on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness.
Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for products, invoices, and cash, and maintain proper inventory counts.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
