About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Sales Professional to merchandise and sell bakery products on a company sales route. The role focuses on keeping products fresh and properly displayed, growing sales and shelf space, building customer relationships, and completing route settlement and documentation procedures. The position has a first-shift start time of 3 or 4 a.m., with Wednesday and Sunday off. Average annual salary is listed as $55,000–$60,000. Sign-on and retention bonuses are available to eligible associates.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a chauffeur license if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as frequently reach and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products, and ensure proper rotation on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness.
Grow sales by securing new display space, establishing incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and while pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
