About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Sales Professional to merchandise and sell bakery products across a company sales route. The role supports product freshness and availability by stocking and rotating products, growing sales and shelf space, executing promotions, and building customer relationships. It also includes route settlement, inventory, driving a company route truck, completing DOT logs, and submitting required paperwork and deposits. The opening is a first-shift position with a 5 a.m. start time and Wednesday and Sunday off.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products, and ensure proper rotation on store shelves and displays to maintain product quality and freshness.
Grow sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to develop store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to increase sales and shelf space in existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Complete daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
