About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Sales Professional to merchandise and sell bakery products along a company route. The role involves keeping store shelves and displays stocked with fresh, properly rotated products; growing sales and display space; developing customer relationships; and supporting promotional execution. The position also handles route inventory and settlement, related paperwork and deposits, and safe operation of a company route truck. The opening is a first-shift schedule from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Wednesdays and Sundays off.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a chauffeur license if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products, and ensure proper rotation on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness.
Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
