About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Rider to merchandise and sell bakery products on a company route. The role focuses on keeping products fresh and properly stocked, increasing sales and display space, building customer relationships, and managing route inventory, settlements, documentation, and deposits. The position includes varied shifts and offers a weekly base pay of $285 plus commission, with an annual average of $50,000–$60,000.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must successfully obtain a chauffeur license if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods; frequently reach and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products on store shelves and displays, ensuring proper product rotation, quality, and freshness.
Increase sales by securing new display space, setting up additional displays, and using sales data to guide store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Complete daily route settlement procedures, accounting for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily Department of Transportation logs.
Submit required documentation and paperwork, and make deposits on time.
