About The Position

Industrial Supply is seeking a motivated Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Representative to provide inventory services and support to assigned customers. The role combines customer service, inventory management, route operations, and account development. The representative visits customer locations, monitors and replenishes inventory, manages stocked vending solutions, identifies ways to improve service, and works with the sales team to help customers succeed. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, building relationships, solving problems, and delivering customer service. The role involves driving between customer locations, interacting with customers, managing inventory, and handling products. Employees should be able to work safely in warehouse, office, manufacturing, and industrial customer environments, and safely operate a company vehicle. Requirements

Ability to lift and carry products and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work safely in warehouse, office, manufacturing, and industrial customer environments.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle while traveling between customer locations.

Nice To Haves

Experience in route sales, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), merchandising, inventory management, or field service.
Experience working directly with customers in industrial distribution, manufacturing, construction supply, automotive, or similar industries.
Familiarity with inventory management software and reporting tools.
Experience identifying opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.

Responsibilities

Maintain a regular service route and visit assigned customer locations on schedule.
Monitor and replenish customer inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Manage industrial vending machines and ensure products are stocked accurately and efficiently.
Use Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) systems to track inventory, replenish products, and monitor usage trends.
Serve as the primary customer contact for VMI services and build strong customer relationships.
Understand customers’ inventory needs and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
Work with the Sales Team to identify opportunities for additional products and expanded services.
Support customer retention by providing reliable, responsive, and professional service.
Participate in customer business reviews and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Keep company equipment and vehicles clean, safe, and professional.
Assist teammates with account coverage and cross-training as needed.
Meet service expectations and contribute to branch and sales goals.
Load and unload inventory from a company vehicle and safely travel between customer locations.
