About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Rider to merchandise and sell bakery products on a company route. The role involves maintaining product quality and freshness in stores, developing sales and customer relationships, supporting promotions and new product placement, and completing route accounting and documentation. The position includes safely driving a company route truck and completing required Department of Transportation logs.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products on store shelves and displays, ensuring proper product rotation, quality, and freshness.
Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up additional displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for products, invoices, and cash, and maintain proper inventory counts.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
