About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Rider to merchandise and sell bakery products on a company route. The role supports product freshness and availability by stocking and rotating merchandise, developing store-level sales opportunities, and maintaining customer relationships. It also involves route settlement and inventory procedures, driving a route truck, and completing required logs, paperwork, and deposits. The position is a first-shift opening, with Wednesday and Sunday off.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must successfully obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Ability to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods; frequent reaching and use of fingers are also required.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise, stock, and rotate products on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness.
Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and while pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
