About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Rider to merchandise and sell bakery products on a company route. The role focuses on maintaining fresh, properly rotated products in stores, expanding product displays and sales, developing customer relationships, and managing route inventory and settlement procedures. The opening is on the first shift, with a 5 a.m. start time and Wednesday and Sunday off.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods; frequently reach and use fingers.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products, and rotate them properly on store shelves and displays to ensure quality and freshness.
Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Complete daily route settlement procedures, accounting for products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
