About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Rider to merchandise and sell bakery products along a company route. The role focuses on maintaining product freshness and presentation, growing sales within existing accounts and through new opportunities, and building customer relationships. The position has a first-shift start time of 4:00 a.m., with Wednesday and Sunday off. Compensation is $325 weekly base pay plus commission, with an annual average of $65,000–$80,000. Full benefits are offered, including medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a chauffeur license if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products, and ensure proper rotation on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness.
Grow sales by securing new display space, setting up additional displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to increase sales and shelf space within existing accounts and while pursuing new customers.
Complete daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
