About The Position

The Route Rider works on a sales route for Bimbo Bakeries USA, merchandising and stocking bakery products in stores while helping grow sales and maintain customer relationships. The role includes setting up displays, supporting promotions and new product introductions, tracking inventory and route transactions, and safely operating a company route truck. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Compensation is an $800 weekly base pay plus commission, with an annual average of $50,000–$70,000. Full benefits are offered, including medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must successfully obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products on store shelves and displays, ensuring proper rotation, quality, and freshness.
Drive sales by obtaining new display space, setting up additional displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities and build customer relationships while ensuring promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
