About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Route Rider to merchandise and sell bakery products on an assigned route. The role involves stocking and rotating products, developing sales opportunities and customer relationships, executing promotions, and introducing products and services to existing and prospective accounts. The Route Rider also handles route settlement, inventory, documentation, and deposits, and safely operates a company route truck. The schedule has an approximately 4:00 AM start, with Wednesday and Sunday off. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as frequently reach and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise, stock, and properly rotate products on store shelves and displays to maintain quality and freshness.
Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space in existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
