About The Position

The Route Rider works on a sales route for Bimbo Bakeries USA, merchandising and stocking products in stores while supporting sales growth and customer relationships. The role includes ensuring product rotation and freshness, creating display opportunities, introducing products and services, conducting route settlements, maintaining inventory and records, and safely operating a company route truck. The schedule has a start time between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., with Wednesday and Sunday off.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must successfully obtain a chauffeur license if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to climb, push and pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products on store shelves and displays, ensuring proper product rotation, quality, and freshness.
Secure new display space, set up incremental displays, and use sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and while pursuing new customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily U.S. Department of Transportation logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
